About Us: A Path to Harmony and Inner Strength

through Tai Chi

Welcome to our school, where anyone can discover their own path to harmony, strength, and deep self-understanding through the ancient art of Tai Chi.

Our team

Dmitry Sokolik - Founder and Instructor

This school was founded by Dmitry, whose life has been inseparably connected with the profound philosophy and practice of Qi Gong and Tai Chi since 2001. With the blessing of his teachers, Dmitry has been sharing this art with warmth and dedication for more than 20 years.

A Story Inspired by the Teachers

Dmitry recalls his first step into the world of Tai Chi in 2001, when he saw a demonstration by Fito Schreiber (Tao Centre). It became a moment of revelation:

“I was astonished. It was clear he was moving within something very dense. The movements were soft, yet filled with inner power and intention. One could feel emanation of balance, stability, and clear presence of centre. At that moment I realised this teacher could show me the path I was seeking.” Since then, Dmitry has devoted himself to the deep study of Tai Chi, practising different types of Qi Gong, Yang and Chen style Tai Chi, and Xing Yi under Fito’s guidance.

Dmitry’s journey has been enriched by many meaningful encounters with great practitioners.

“In 2013, after moving to Bristol, I met Ben Milton, a wonderful practitioner from the local Tai Chi school. Studying Chen style with him gave me many valuable insights. I am also very grateful for the experience of attending seminars and learning from Chen Xiaowang, Chen Xiaoxing, and Chen Bing.

After moving to Cambridgeshire in 2015, while seeking a deeper understanding of push hands, I discovered Wee Kee Jin (Taiji School of Central Equilibrium). Falling in love with Huang Sheng Shyan's systems of Tai Chi and White Crane, I have added them into my discipline.

Words cannot fully express my gratitude to my teachers."

Neil lives in Wimpole and he has been a student of Dmitry’s since 2016. He studies both the Chen and Yang styles Tai Chi.

He has a background in martial arts, particularly Aikido, and he is currently studying Chinese Medicine and Japanese Shiatsu in order to become a Zen Shiatsu therapist.

David Lloyd - Instructor

Since David was young, he has been interested in martial arts and philosophy, and this has led him to Tai Chi.

He found new depths to his understanding through Dmitry’s lessons, and Wee Kee Jin’s seminars: «I feel profoundly grateful to have been taught by Dmitry these past years, and hope in my way to share what I have learned through the lens of my own experience.

I approach my learning with an open heart and kindness. This is also how I share my experience, feeling above all that we all learn from one another when we let go of ‘knowing’.

It’s a source of wonder to me that the more I explore, the more I recognise that I am still only just starting my first steps and seeing the journey ahead».

Our Mission

Driven by a deep passion for Chi Kung and Tai Chi, Dmitry founded this school with the sincere wish to inspire people to bring harmony, inner strength, and balance into their lives. We believe Tai Chi is accessible to everyone, and our aim is to create a supportive space where students of all levels can enjoy learning this wonderful art.

We cherish every moment of practice and strive to keep a “beginner’s mind", which allows us to keep growing, stay open, and share fresh perspectives. Join us on this path of discovery, self-cultivation, and inner harmony!
